How To Discover Spanish Fast

It is one thing to see a quote you like in a book or online and say, «Man, that is so cool.» And another very different thing to snag that quote and put it in your collection: then later on to run across it while your are looking for tonight’s additions to your page and say aha! That will fit perfect right there. You are making it your own somehow, even if you don’t edit it at all. It’s a process of continuous growth, since the collection I’ve put together so far already is hardly half-mined.

Save time by multitasking and listening to Spanish lessons while you are walking, running, driving or doing household chores. We could translate the chips to words. But that is not really an answer, since words are still symbols. If we translated the chip numbers into Latin, few of us would really gain any understanding. The latin words, in fact most words in any language, are as arbitrary a symbol as the number on the chip.

When learning a second language, it is imperative that you know how the word comes out of ones mouth. You can also tell how their tongue accentuates the word. In the Spanish language, Latin speakers talk with their tongue right behind their teeth. This is what helps give their words a much more crisper sound then that of English words. In English, our tongue tends to stay in the back of our throat and that is why it is hard for most North Americans to speak the language spoken in Central and South America.

If my student produced a grammatically perfect paragraph like that, I would be ecstatic. However, no native speaker would use those words, because grammar is not what makes the English language tick. Collocations do.
