Have Fun With Rocket Spanish

Use language programs — Some of the top choices for audio and/or video programs are Rosetta Stone, Pimsleur, and Power Glide. These programs combine visual learning with proper pronunciation and associations to immerse kids directly in the language they want to learn. These programs can be expensive so look for their availability at libraries and homeschooling fairs. Also, language programs offer a greater range of language choices.

One more thing—please don’t ignore people. A quick «thanks, but no thanks» note is so much better than no reply at all. In fact, next time you’re replying to a message on the site, check out the new «Thanks but No Thanks» template. It’s a quick way to nicely let someone know you’re not interested in corresponding.

quotes in latin Your philosophy and experiences about key issues. Many of us never take the time to develop a philosophy or notice how our experiences relate to our overall life and work. When you prepare your cut and paste material, think of some of the key events in your work and how they relate to various aspects of life and work in general. For example, if you were part of a big project, what did it teach you about the people involved (be nice!), the concept of working together, the project itself, or the organization? You could use ideas from that one project in hundreds of ways.

When my parents needed to communicate with anyone in France, I seemed to be shuffled ahead of my parents in front of the person they were trying to communicate with. I felt like a translation device that often appeared in «Star Trek». If, indeed «Star Trek» was televised then (I think not).

latin language Have you ever noticed that car dealers always ask something like, «how much did you plan to spend per month»? That is not meant to be a friendly introduction, though that is how it comes across. Rather, by design it is a sales technique because the car does not cost $20,000. It only costs $385. That’s it. No strings attached. Just $385… for the next 60 months.

Princeton was founded in 1746 in order to train religious ministers which is why their school symbol has a religious touch. The crest has latin words inscribed in it ‘Dei Sub Numine Viget’, which means ‘Under God’s power she flourishes’. The crest also consists of an illustration of an open book which is obviously a bible. Orange and black colors are prominently used here which makes it attractive and eye catching.

Immerse Yourself. Think of how you learned your native language. You heard it daily, and were among people who spoke the same language. Approach Spanish the same way. Listen to Spanish instructional tapes instead of music CD’s in your car. Watch Spanish TV stations if possible. When exercising, walking, or just waiting for appointments, press play on your iPod or CD player, and listen to a Spanish vocabulary tape or an interactive spoken Spanish lesson. Expose yourself, and immerse yourself as much as possible in the Spanish language and culture.
