There is, however, one disadvantage. The digital t-shirt printing method does not have a white color. This is not a problem if you are printing on a white shirt. But if you need to print on darker fabrics or, say, a yellow or a red shirt, and your design requires a white portion, then this means the white portion will simply turn to yellow or red. Good thing there are special transfer papers that can do the trick.
There are two ways to design your shirt. Either you just do it online since there are already companies that allow you to buy online. They provide a program wherein you can upload photos or personal design you want. Then you can do transaction with them through their website also. You can also design your shirt by manually doing it. The advantage about this is of course, you spend less and you don’t need to wait for days or weeks before you can wear your shirt. You just need to prepare the graphic to be printed in your transfer sheet, iron it then after a few minutes you can already wear your very own unique shirt.
Another method is Direct To Garment (DTG) printing. This is a method of running the actual shirt through a printer which prints the image on to the shirt just as a standard in home ink jet printer would print out a document from your computer. There has been some talk in the design community of the ink drying or clumping up in these machines, but I have seen the work they do and it looks great and feels great on the shirt. This is a higher end option at this time with some printers going for around $25,000. You could get a used on for around $16,000, but it would take a lot of shirts to pay off that large of an investment.
O.K. just admit it — your closets are overflowing. Imagine turning some of that overflow into a memory-filled t-shirt quilt. What an extra blessing to have more closet space! This sure beats adding on to the house!
A little bit of research:Reading a little on the internet about T shirt designs will be very helpful. You will get to know about colour schemes, different kind of inks etc..
How about painting something on your t-shirt? No, you need not be painting incredibly creative designs on your t-shirt. Even the simplest of design or patterns may work just as well. For example, you can draw different phases of the moon, hearts, candies, and other such simplistic patterns. And, if you cant sketch even these, then just draw basic shapes such as triangle or squares.
Today, cotton t-shirts are considered among the highest quality of t-shirt. They are comfortable, easy to wear and breathe easier than other fabrics. Cotton has these advantages because the fabric is softer. They do have some disadvantages. Cotton t-shirts have a shelf life. They are known to shrink when initially washed, meaning that one could be stuck with a smaller t-shirt if they didn’t consider in the shrink factor when originally purchasing the shirt. Cotton fades easier than other fabric, so after multiple washes the t-shirt could start to look old and worn. Many find that these disadvantages are worth the comfort of a 100% cotton t-shirt.
